In 1964 these women with their husbands acquired land up Hwy 74 in Mountain Center (Garner Valley) where the Boys could escape the summer heat. Everyone pitched a tent and Pathfinders would make breakfast out of a chuck wagon. In the decades since, Pathfinder Ranch has become a fully accredited outdoor education facility for fifth and sixth graders, summer camp and retreat venue.

Since then we ladies meet for lunch from November to April, with guest speakers and charitable vendors. Our primary fundraiser is our Annual themed Gala held in February to celebrate the many accomplishments of the Boys & Girls Club and the Ranch that year. Many Pathfinders are involved personally with each institution and serve on the Boards of the B&GC and the Ranch as well.
